Irish Supreme Comb Honey

Availability: In stock

Produced by Tony Lynch, a beekeeper in the Donnybrook suburb of Dublin, this comb honey is one of the finest. Mr. Lynch has been keeping bees for sixty years. In fact his father offered him his first beehive at a very young age. His bees are a strain of native Irish black bee which is well adapted to Irish weather conditions. They are docile and are frugal in their own use of honey stores. The honey produced is gathered mostly quite early in the season from fruit blossom, chestnut, maple and sycamore and a variety of garden bushes and plants.

Tony is a very passionate and enthusiastic beekeeper and in September 2016 his honey sections took first prize at the annual competition at the Irish National Honey Show in Phoenix Park, Dublin. In November 2018, Tony won the Gold Medal for Sections at the County Dublin Beekeepers’ Association Annual Show. This is a unique one-off medal specially fashioned for the 75th Anniversary of the Association. A terrific achievement!
