The Name Acrux is based on the stars of the Southern Cross.The Characterisation of the ostrich on the label symbolises the joining of the earth and the sky. Winery is owned by the Ortega Gil-Fournier family. A wine made of 70% Temranillo.22% Merlot and 10% Malbec from grapes grown at an altitude of 1,100mts in the Andes foothills. Aged 18 months in new oak barrels and 12 months in bottles. This is a serious wine. Rich, bold dark fruits and an extra velvety finish ! Gold Medal Winner at the international Wine Challenge 2004.
