"Very elegant, this is all in the details: precise and silky texture, mouthwatering acidity and a smoky, mineral undertow that enriches flavours of patisserie pear, crystallized honey, kumquat and toasted almond. Offers a clean, citrus-tinged finish. Drink now through 2027."

This is the result of Madame Bollinger’s great vision: an expert wine with aromas enhanced by its exceptionally long maturation, it will last forever; James Bond’s favourite champagne.
Hints of cashew and honey, flavours of caramelized apple pie. Woods and mushroom fricassee aromas. Complex stone fruit aromas revealed by time. Notes of mocha, cocoa and truffle. An aristocratic champagne, which acquires its depth from prolonged lee-ageing.

Coppery with hints of salmon and bronze, then a refined nose of nectarine, wild peach and iodine; a wonderful ambassador for this great long-lived vintage. Ripeness and minerality are present with plenty of power and a delightful elegant finish, both underscored by notes of vanilla and spice.

A salmon pink hue, with radiant highlights and incredible youth. A regular, refined and lively effervescence. An intense, rich, bewitching bouquet of red fruit and citrus zest associated with more complex notes redolent of cedar and spring sap. The aromas evolve gently in the glass evolving from dried fruits, fresh almonds and frangipane, to notes of Tarte Tatin, oven- baked apples and caramel. In tastings, the wine is soft and silky on the palate with a marvelous harmony of flavour and concentration of fruit. The attack is fruity and crisp. Finesse and fruit combine to create a full palate that melts in the mouth, giving way to candied citrus and dried fruits. The exceptional characteristics of the 1996 vintage have been literally captured in this generous epicurean Cristal Rosé 1996, which reveals a perfect equilibrium between concentration and finesse, richness and freshness, intensity and refinement.

The colour in the flute was of shiny gold with a silvery hue around the rim. Almost as a liquid gold. Tiny pin- point streamers; very lively. Thick and frothy mousse. On the nose was a musky autumn underbrush aroma, intermingled with an almond note. A touch of bread dough and nut skin. About 20 minutes into the bottle, an aroma of exotic spices, hints of myrr, powdered angel wing pastry, and yes- fruit striped gum began sputtering out from the glass. On the palate at first was a flavour of mixed light citris fruit, especially starfruit; which later turned into that of glazed pastry a fleeting tease of bananna, and believe it or not, a hint of clam juice, which was actually delicious in this environment. Very full bodied, very very frothy, with a hypmotizing-spine tingling montroux finish. The Perfect Champagne. 100 points

At its finest, the 1989 vintage is superb, revealing a slightly oxidized style, but a full-bodied, rustic, rich personality with the body of a red wine, but loads of character. Sublime ! Presented in a Krug wooden box numbered.

Absolutely gorgeous. Full of delicacy, showing citrus preserves and brioche aromas, turning into honey, citrus and a hint of almond, all on an elegant, balanced structure. Very subtle in its power, with plenty of life ahead. Drink now through 2015.
Considered by Remi and Henri Krug to be their finest achievement. Exquisite quality. Presented in a Krug wooden box numbered.750ml bottle

Mid-gold and greeny. Straw and tinder, gunflint and sweet grass bonfire character. Very fresh acidity, really lovely. A softened texture but still racy and bright. Old gold, burnished, with laurel and old grass. Complex, totally harmonious and resolved. Very well done.

This is a unique Salon The 1959 Salon Blanc de Blancs is impenetrable. A massive, full-bodied Salon that totally saturates the palate with fruit.
Although flowering got off to a slow start, the rhythm intensified followed by rapid fruit setting. Harvesting started on 10th September, revealing excellent ripeness, helped by exceptional climatic conditions throughout the summer. Very good quality.750ml bottle

“The 1949 Salon that closed out this special flight had an exotic nose full of creamy apricot jam and root beer/sarsaparilla. Its flavours were drier, its acidity nice and its finish long. Cream soda flavours emerged out of its arid palate, but dryness was the theme in this wheaty and excellent wine (94).” John Kapon, Wine Writer
