This cuvée is made with the Pinot Noirs from our old vines in Vertus. Clement weather, low yields and very stringent sorting are necessary to make this red wine a success. The Pinots are partially destemmed and then macerated for about twelve days. The alcoholic fermentation is carried out with natural yeast. The wines are matured in casks for 18 months.
Relatively dark colour. Subtle nose, typically pinot. Nice full fruit palate, A change from Burgundy. Worth a try.750ml bottle

The Bollinger style is always rich, food friendly and impressive. This wine is all of those things, with power and intensity of flavour along with ripe fruit, a layer of toastiness and a dry aftertaste. This is a style of wine that can take even more bottle aging.

Veuve Clicquot's signature brut non-vintage is loved the world over for its crisp, full flavours, consistent quality and celebratory yellow label. The predominance of Pinot Noir provides the structure that is so typically Clicquot, while a touch of Pinot Meunier rounds out the blend. Chardonnay adds the elegance and finesse essential in a perfectly balanced wine.

This is the latest release from Christophe, made from equal parts of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier. After first fermentation it spends 9 months in new oak before bottling. It then sits on its lees for a further three years before disgorgement and the addition of 7gm/ltr of cane sugar.
The result is well balanced champagne with pleasant aromas of dried fruit and vanilla, which won a 'coup de couer' in the 2011 Gault et Millau Les Meilleurs Vins de France.750ml bottle

From the outset, Brut Premier affirms its personality and seduction: the texture is full and generous and, in a fairly unexpected way, integrates characteristics of maturity associated with fruitier and more refreshing notes. The wine has a fresh festive finesse... “In the mouth, the wine has structure, richness and length. It is a full, complex wine that is both modern and powerful, whilst remaining a great classic.

100% Chardonnay from Premier Crus vineyards planted in 1982 and 1962, given absolutely no 'dosage', making it an ultra brut, and in Pierre Larmandier's words a true expression of the Vertus 'terroir'. Elegant, restrained, with toasty, citrus flavours and underlying minerality this really is a sensational wine.

Subtle, forthright, and very fresh on the nose. Cuvée Rosé Laurent-Perrier suggests a basketful of small berry fruits: strawberries, raspberries, blackcurrants, blackberries, redcurrants, and morello and black cherries. The overwhelming sensation is one of freshness. Fruit dominates the palate. Cuvée Rosé Laurent-Perrier is a lively, well-rounded wine which combines structure and freshness. The forthright, slightly sharp attack is like breathing the heady aromas of a freshly-picked basket of berry fruits - a symphony of aromas with a gently-rounded, tender finish.
