From the selection of younger vines this Finca Resalso was born, with a strong cherry red colour and violet tones indicative of its youth. As we approach the glass its fragrance and intensity fill the senses. The youngest example of Emilio Moro's wines, it expresses itself with marked primary aromas of mulberry, licorice and black forest fruits. A tasty and appetizing ensemble which, on the palate, shows its vocation as an expressive and intense wine but with a well-developed structure that makes it pleasant to drink.

The Domaine
Emilio Moro is a third-generation, family-owned winery with over 120 years of winemaking history in Ribera del Duero. Emilio Moro, the hombre, grew up treading grapes and racking wine with his father in his native village of Pesquera de Duero.
They have 200 hectares planted in a pure clone of the Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) variety taken off their earliest vines, and the vineyards look down from an elevated position 600 metres above the Duero River. A harsh continental climate and a hardy bed of clay, gravel and chalk add the finishing touches to the unique character of these Duero expressions.
Nowadays, the winery is run by Emilio's sons, Jose and Javier, but we'll leave the final word to Don Emilio Moro himself: ‘Wine is an art, if you know how to listen it speaks to you, telling you when it needs racking and when it needs to rest. It is like a living being that you have to understand, look after and care for.'

"Vivid purple. Ripe boysenberry and blueberry aromas and an undercurrent of mocha on the nose, with candied licorice and vanilla qualities coming up with air. Lush, weighty and round, showing good thrust to its dark berry liqueur and cocoa flavors. Finishes creamy, round and long, with soft tannins and building notes of plum and dark chocolate."
