    La Bastide du Claux 'Barraban' is made from a blend of 7 different white varietals. The average vine age is 30 years, but the Ugni Blanc is 70 years old. After fermentation the wine is aged on its lees for 9 months. Barraban is charming, well balanced with good poise and structure all the way to the finish.
    The myriad grape varieties really do add complexity and interest. This is a wine of substance and delicacy, with subtle perfume; a fine example of what the south of France can still do much better than anywhere else.

  2. La Bastide du Claux -L'Odalisque Blanc

    Sylvain Morey produces very good wines on the southern slopes of the Luberon. This white wine Odalisque mainly made with the Vermentino grape, complemented by Viognier and Clairette.This is a quintessentially Mediterranean Vermentino grape variety, retaining its acidity well even in relatively warm regions. It really demonstrates the talent of the winemaker, always in search for balance. The Vermentino shows flavours of green apple and lime, heightened by refreshing acidity, good richness and medium body. Delicious accompaniment to fish like turbot or John dory or even with meat such as veal.

  3. Chateau de Pibarnon Blanc

    A bright, pale yellow in colour. An intense nose of tropical stone fruit aromas with a hint of white flowers. Dry and pleasantly tart on the palate with refreshing acidity and showing a touch of spice, the finish is ripe and lengthy. Serve with soupe au pistou, sea-bream with a sea-urchin sauce or crab souffle.
