A fine red-purple in colour with staggering intensity of fruit on the nose, this Gevrey-Chambertin from Domaine Sérafin is a very tightly wound wine with good acidity. The freshness of the fruit indicates that there is nothing over-ripe here.

A ‘luminous‘ and pure Puligny-Montrachet with very fresh and clean aromas of butter and stone fruits. This is very fresh on the palate with a crisp acidity but gently balanced by a slightly ‘creamy‘ texture.

The Chambolle Muigny 2012 village from Roumier is still youthful – but also unexpectedly open and ready to please. The bouquet fresh and playful red berry fruit with some darker notes of blue berries and cassis. On the palate juicy red berry fruit – quite vibrant, rich and airy – with a slight candied note. It’s quite accessible and red fruited for the age – has lovely balance and length for this level. Really adore the nerve and juicyness in this wine …. a fine, complex and beautiful 2012 from Roumier. Classic Chambolle!

It is a contry gentleman, aristocrat and dreamer, who idles willingly with the unhurried step of his horse in a forest filled with the scents of sundry mushrooms, of mosses, of dead decaying leaves, of furtive small game, which spill forth in a multitude of shifting alliances. All of that is expressed delicately, in a refined, musical tongue, concise and pure like the message of a Mozart quartet.
