From Caroline Morey’s few rows of vines (0.14ha) planted in this tiny Criots-Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru vineyard which totals 1.57ha. A wine that is rarely seen. A powerful wine with immense freshness and ultra polished texture. A contemplative gem.
Caroline Morey has spent all her life in Chassagne-Montrachet and she has a strong and intimate knowledge about the terroir, the vineyards, the people, and above all she is a razor-sharp winemaker. Her wines vibrate with energy, and, essentially, they ooze class.
Today Chassagne Montrachet is firmly associated with world-class white wines although excellent reds are also produced in the appellation. The village is located in the heart of the Côte d’Or, in the Southern Côte de Beaune.
