Gaja
Contessa Langhe, 2001

Langhe

Price on Application

750ml Bottle

Fabulous wine, structured and complex. One of the top Italian wines that I tasted. This vintage is a blend 92% Nebbiolo and 8% Barbera, vines about 28 years old. The nose is floral, expressive with notes of red fruits, plums, licorice and spices, multi-layered aromas. On the palate, a sumptuous texture and a very refined character with smooth tannins, flavours of ripe plums, tobacco, coffee and licorice with a remarkable long finish.
