From the sun-drenched Languedoc region, Lucques olives are fleshy and tender. Also called green diamond, this variety of olive presents a distinctive crescent moon’s shape. Harvested by hand by olive growers, they are soft, fruity and tonic with a slight crisp flesh, and a unique mild taste of buttery hazelnut.
The house of Nicolas Alziari was established in 1868 and the eponymous shop was opened in Nice, in 1931, when the oil from the mill was brought down on horseback to supply the tin drums in the store. Today, the Piot family produces olive oils and olives.
