Brilliant rich cherry colour. Elegant aging with intense aromas of raspberry and cranberry framed by fine nuances of cinnamon and cacao. Wonderful structure and importantly fleshiness of fruit leasing to long elegant tannins.

The philosophy at Bodegas Paco Garcia revolves around the pursuit of a ‘pure expression’ of the Tempranillo grape. This particular cuvee spends six months in French Oak prior to bottling. The nose is full of blackberries with hints of violet and mixed red fruit. The palate is rounded with the oak evident but not overwhelming, notes of caramel and spice and a long and harmonious finish.
The "Seis" means "6" in Spanish and relates to the length of time its been Cellared for in French oak barrels.

The 2010 Finca La Emperatriz Crianza is a pure, unadulterated Tempranillo from a 5.5-hectare plot of old vines. It has a lifted, floral bouquet with superb freshness and vitality, a heady violet and lavender perfume that almost dissuades you from tasting the wine! The palate is medium-bodied with succulent, fleshy tannins that are extremely well-defined. There is a wonderful sense of symmetry here, a crescendo of flavors that leads to a sumptuous finish of cassis and blackberry that lingers long in the mouth. This is excellent, modern Rioja.

Wonderful straw yellow colour. Fresh fruit aromas of apples, pear and tropical fruits, with herbs hint of hay and lavender. Savoury and fresh on the palate, with a wonderful lively acidity.

This wine exhibits a dense, bright cherry colour, and has an appealing big and spicy nose. Is is impressive with its outstanding aromatics of cherry and red fruit, mineral smoke and subtle oak notes. On the palate it reveals fleshy fruit, silky tannins, and subtle, spicy oak. There is beautiful texture and outstanding balance.

Cherry red with a pinkish rim.Intense aroma, predominant ripe red berries with balsamic scents, coffee, vanilla and coconut notes. Well-balanced on the palate with a silky mouthfeel, pleasant acidity that highlights a fresh and long-lasting aftertaste.

This barrel-fermented white Valenciso Blanco 2014 is a blend of 70% Viura and 30% Garnacha Blanca from old vines in the villages of Villalba, Haro and Ollauri. Fermented with indigenous yeasts and is kept in barrel until its bottling in June 2015. Very fresh, nuanced and elegant, with the oak in the background adding spiciness and complexity,the foreground is taken by very aromatic notes of flowers and a hint of pollen. The palate is fresh and balanced, nicely textured, very tasty with an almost salty finish. Beautifully balanced, energetic and long. Delicious!

The 2001 Vina Ardanza Reserva Especial is a blend of 80% Tempranillo and 20% Garnacha from their vineyards in Fuenmayor and Rioja Baja respectively and it represents only the third vintage to be declared after 1964 and 1973. Aged in American cask for 36 months, it has a bucolic, natural bouquet of bright red cherries, balsamic, mint and a touch of dried honey all with superb delineation. The palate is medium-bodied with wonderful delineation and supple, lithe tannins. The acidity is very well judged and it leads to a pert, tense finish of bitter cherry, loganberry and licorice. This is an outstanding wine drinking perfectly now, but it should age effortlessly. Drink now-2030.

'The 2004 Vina Ardanza is a blend of 80% Tempranillo and 20% Garnacha from 30-year-old vines in Fuenmayor and Cenicero. It is aged for 36 months in four-year-old American oak. It has a very enticing bouquet with dark cherry, Christmas cake, dried fig and espresso with fine delineation and bags of exuberance. The palate is medium-bodied with taut tannins, underpinned by a keen citric thread that cuts through the licorice-tinged, dark berry and allspice-tinged fruit with style.
