From almost 30 year old vines planted on grave-clay soils in the commune of Arsac. Mellow tones of cassis and blood orange with added hints of earth, and cocoa. Beautifully woven palate seemingly mingling both fruit and soil essences. Significant depth and a long mineral finish. Tannins are effortlessly refined. Very polished indeed.
Today, Clos du Jaugeyron consists of 8 hectares. 4 hectares in Médoc and 4 hectares in Margaux. The winery is located in the forest just next to their house, in the village of Arsac.
