Complex aromas of lemon peel combined with orange, vanilla and just a hint of smokiness, lead to a full bodied texture and the citrus characters which are echoed on the palate. Abundant minerality and a fresh acidity keep the palate lively, followed by a clean finish with elegant, buttery elements.
While born and reared in Chassagne-Montrachet, Sylvain Morey made his first wines in the Luberon where he set up Bastide du Claux, in 2002. In 2014, he inherited four hectares in the Côte d’Or from his father and he established Domaine Sylvain Morey.
Both in the Luberon and Burgundy, Sylvain Morey produces wines of great depth and purity using technology judiciously to back up tradition.
