This is a rare find as 1969 was a small, selective production. A year with a wet spring and cooler-than-average weather until July. Heavy rain fell in mid-September, followed by three weeks of dry weather and two small windows of opportunity around the 20th of October that were taken advantage of to pick most of the crop. The ensuing four weeks of rain ruined the remaining grapes. A small production for this discreet, medium-sweet vintage of Yquem.
