Clos Louie is a micro-estate bordering Saint Emilion. This wine comes from a small plot of low yielding, organically tended pre-phylloxera vines. Sensitively aged in large oak vats, this is classic Bordeaux. The terroir brings great energy and freshness. Floral character with notes of strawberry and cherry. Soft mid-palate and stimulating finish. Precise and pure with beautiful concentration and velvety texture. Perfectly balanced. In typical Bordeaux fashion, this would be Saint Emilion Grand Cru if the vines were on the other side of the road. Majestic.
