Colonna Nera di Colonna Olives
Colonna Nera di Colonna Olives
Carefully selected black Leccino olives seasoned with fennel, fresh chili, garlic, extra virgin olive oil and salt. Slightly spicy, these olives are ideal as an appetizer on their own. They add a kick to pasta sauces, fish and meat dishes. Keep in the fridge after opening.
Colonna’s history dates back to the 12th century. In 1996, Marina Colonna, the grand daughter of Piero Colonna who was the Governor of Rome and the daughter of don Francesco Colonna, a keen agronomist, inherited the 180-hectare farm, including 55 hectares of olive groves, cereals and vegetable crops. The estate of Colonna is located in Molise, that little-known region opposite Rome on the Adriatic coast. Marina farms meticulously in order to achieve high quality Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
