Havens Winery, Merlot, 1997

Outstanding! The best we've tasted from Havens. It received 90 points from wine writer Robert Parker… 'The 1997 Merlot exhibits a dense ruby/purple colour in addition to a superb nose of chocolate, cocoa, cherries, and smoky, earthy notes. The wine is rich and medium to full-bodied, with low acidity, a sweet, nicely layered palate, and a lush finish. It should drink well for 7-8 years.
