From the oldest vines of the estate - over 75 year old - Le Chevalier spent 18 months ageing in new oak barrels. Plenty of style. Rich, ripe, concentrated and full-bodied with notes of dark wild berries and a little spice well supported by acidity. Ample and voluptuous on the palate. Certainly one of the very best of the Côtes de Bourg appellation. A ‘Grand Vin’!
Considered one of the pioneers of the biodynamic method of cultivation in Bordeaux, Véronique Cochran, gentle and soft spoken, crafts wines that are harmoniously composed.
Known as an unfashionable part of the region of Bordeaux, Côtes de Bourg is located 20 kms north-west of the city of Bordeaux, at the confluence of the rivers Garonne and Dordogne. The AOC benefits from a favourable micro-climate.
