A blend of Tempranillo, 10% Garnacha and a dash of white varieties, Viura and Palomino from vines aged between 45 and 80 year old planted on clay-limestone soil at an altitude of almost 600 meters in the village of Labastidia - only 5 minutes from San Vincente de la Sonsierra. Beautiful deep purple colour and inviting aromas of dark cherry fruit and pencil shavings. Powerful and dense with exceptional freshness. This village wine is aged for 10 months in concrete tanks, as well as 500L and 300L French oak barrels (second and third-fill). Gil’s ancient cellar or 'calado' which he restored with his own hands is dug into the stone below the castle of San Vincente de la Sonsierra.
