The palate lives up to expectations, with a medium-bodied substance, lightly chalky yellow stone fruit mirroring the aromatic profile, the fine mineral and acid veins, building in the middle of the palate. Fresh, pure, with some surging energy in the finish.
Patrick Baudouin is renowned as a trailblazer in the Anjou region. He firmly believes that wines need to express their terroirs. In his opinion, a lack of intervention can easily produce a ‘common wine’. He says: ‘A wine is a product wanted by man, a product of human growing and farming. It is up to us to accept this.’
