Tempranillo with a small percentage of the white grape Viura, from 50 year old bush vines planted on chalky soil. This is a wine from tiny plots planted in a unique area, a valley named 'Bardallo' perched at an altitude of 515 meters and facing northeast in the village of San Vincente de la Sonsierra. From a cooler site and aged 10 months in 500L French oak barrel, this is a serious and elegant wine. Perfumed nose of ripe berries and delicate spices, the palate is powerful and persistent with graceful tannins. Impressive. Only 3,500 bottles produced.
