This cuvée is made with the Pinot Noirs from our old vines in Vertus. Clement weather, low yields and very stringent sorting are necessary to make this red wine a success. The Pinots are partially destemmed and then macerated for about twelve days. The alcoholic fermentation is carried out with natural yeast. The wines are matured in casks for 18 months.
Relatively dark colour. Subtle nose, typically pinot. Nice full fruit palate, A change from Burgundy. Worth a try.
Pierre, Sophie and Arthur Larmandier believe that a great Champagne starts its life in the vineyard. With sheer determination and perseverance, they have broken Champagne rules in terms of farming and vinification, giving birth to scintillating wines which reflect their fine terroirs.
