  1. Johanneshof Reinisch Dialog

Made of 50% Chardonnay and 50% Sauvignon Blanc. The wines are fermented separately, Sauvignon Blanc in stainless steel tanks and Chardonnay in large oak barrels, after which the final blend is made. Very captivating scent of exotic fruits including lychee, biscuits and butter tones. The palate is delicately creamy with an elegant acidity. A vibrant ‘cutting-edge’ wine that would pair well with fish as well as white meats, pasta dishes and vegetables.

  2. Domaine Florian Roblin - Sauvignon Blanc "Champ Gibault"

Meticulously made classic Loire Sauvignon by Florian Roblin, a young dedicated winemaker. This wine can be described as the 'insider's alternative' to Sancerre and Pouilly-Fumé. Perhaps more reliably, this splendid Loire white offers classic Sauvignon character. Grapefruit and discreet freshly cut grass aromas abound with a lovely smoky background often referred to as 'gun flint'. Also a slight touch of truffle on the nose. There's good ripeness here so the wine is sure to be an all round pleaser. This pristine, fresh and elegant white really stands up well alongside more expensive Sancerres and makes a terrific partner to shellfish and sea food as well as chicken. A smart buy.

  4. Château la Coste - Les Pentes Douces Blanc - Seán Gilley 2012 ©

"The complex and rich nose reveals itself on candied and citrus fruits aromas. Also, floral fragrances and a hint of citrus with spices notes can be perceived. The mouth is smooth, fresh and round with a lovely finish on citrus fruits aromas, typical of the Vermentino grape variety. A great wine to drink now or to age for 5 - 7 years in the cellar." The grapes are selected from the best north hillsides of the domaine and after harvest, they are sorted in the vineyards and in the cha.The fermentation and the ageing are done in oak barrels during 8 to 10 months, depending on the vintage. No fining or filtering before bottling.

  5. Didier Dagueneau Pouilly-Fumé Silex

A selection of grapes from vines planted on 'Silex' (Flint) soils in the commune of St Andelain. The wine is fermented and aged in oak demi muids barrels, generally a quarter new oak. This is excellent. Very intense flavours of quince, elderflower, limes, minerals, rocks, spices and fruit skin, there is a round creaminess too balancing the vibrant citrus fruits, lots of extract here, very powerful wine but with everything in complete harmony.
This wine is Dagueneau's grand cru. Designed for ageing, it will be quite closed and austere in it's youth, but will reward cellaring. Stunning.
