  1. Château Rosalcy

A very young but modern styled Bordeaux, that is actually drinking quite well. Cedar and ripe plum and berry fruit. Quite perfumed with a touch of oak. It's got some furry taninns but also nice rich plummy fruit and creamy oak. Good weight and length. It's really quite enjoyable. With food it's drinking really well. Modern but still classically from Bordeaux which is good.

  2. Château Tournefeuille Lalande de Pomerol - Seán Gilley © 2011

This 2015 is very impressively elegant and is a blend of 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc. It is aged 12 months in oak barrels. The dark ruby red colour matches the cassis, soft fruits and plum aromas. On the palate, the balance is perfect and the tannins are succulent. Soft finish, where flavours last and last.

  3. Château Tournefeuille Lalande de Pomerol - Seán Gilley © 2011

The wine is made from 70% Merlot and 30% and Cabernet Franc. The majority of the vineyards are 30 year or older. The wine is fermented in concrete tanks, and then aged for 12 months in barriques with about 1/3 new oak used.

Stylistically, there are floral notes to complement the dark cassis fruit, dark chocolate and spice notes. There is also a silky texture and fine-grained tannins that all make for a lovely well-balanced wine.
