La Martinière is a tiny parcel (0.87 ha) in the lower part of Quarts de Chaume near the river Layon. The nose is lively with intense notes of orange peel, mango and quince. The palate is fresh, clean and quite mineral. Hints of bitterness emerge as it opens up. Incredible length and complexity are carried by the fresh acidity. A grand vin.
