Plenty of vitality and energy in the glass for this admirable pure red from Côtes du Marmandais, one of the south west of France's lesser known appellation only an hour far from Bordeaux. Élian selects only the ripest grapes of 40% Abouriou (a local variety) - 20% Merlot - 40% Cabernet Franc.
Scents of sweet cherry and sun-kissed black fruits and plum. The palate is ripe and plummy. Most wonderful mouthfeel. Our irresistible favourite. Easy drinking without being simple.
Élian da Ros put down roots in the village of Cocumont and aimed high to create his own wines from the Côtes du Marmandais. It required ingenuity, bravery and obstinate determination.
