From three parcels, Les Lambardes planted in 1967, La Bressonne planted in 1956 and Les Chimbres planted in 1974, this recalls the density and structure of more expensive wines from the Côte de Nuits. Impressive.
While born and reared in Chassagne-Montrachet, Sylvain Morey made his first wines in the Luberon where he set up Bastide du Claux, in 2002. In 2014, he inherited four hectares in the Côte d’Or from his father and he established Domaine Sylvain Morey.
Both in the Luberon and Burgundy, Sylvain Morey produces wines of great depth and purity using technology judiciously to back up tradition.
